Thank you for choosing to support Re-engage in your loved one’s memory.

We understand that in memory giving can be a very personal and emotive experience. You can choose the way to support Re-engage that best suits your needs and how you would like your loved one to be remembered.

Kim’s story

Kim's mother spent many happy years attending a Re-engage tea party group. After she sadly passed away, Kim wanted to recognise the pleasure the groups had given her mother by making a donation to Re-engage in her memory.

The volunteers at the tea parties were so good to mum and so good with her. They made it so special for her and accommodated her so well – it gave me a break and her something to do. She so enjoyed the tea parties. She retained the happiness. I made a donation to Re-engage in Mum's memory so that others in her position could have that same sense of belonging and happiness.

During lockdown, Kim wanted to make a difference to those feeling isolated. When she saw Re-engage was launching the call companions service, Kim wanted to give back and knew how much the charity had helped her mum. She’s now been matched with her call companion for over two years and finds the connection extremely rewarding.

I saw my mum every day – all the build up to her passing didn’t make it any easier. I missed not having someone of the older generation to talk to. It’s rewarding to be able to reminisce about things. It’s like talking to my mum. You can just chat and be comfortable.

Online memorial page

An online memorial page can provide a special space for you, and others, to remember your loved one and celebrate their life.

MuchLoved allows you to create a tribute page where you can share memories, photos and videos of your loved one. You can even add music, light candles, and set up a tribute fund to raise money for a cause close to your loved one’s heart and fundraise in their name.

Funeral collections or donations in lieu of floral tributes

A collection at a loved one's funeral or celebration of life is a lovely way to contribute to ending loneliness for older people. Should you choose to donate a collection to Re-engage, thank you. For information on how to pay in a collection, visit our frequently asked questions.
