Staff at Tudor Park Marriott Hotel & Country Club in Bearsted, near Maidstone, held a special tea party on Sunday (16th September).
As part of their activities to embrace the local community, they rolled out the red carpet to welcome a group of VIPs from Contact the Elderly.
Volunteers from hotel departments provided companionship and conversation over afternoon tea prepared by head chef Susanto Bhattacharya and his team. Staff brought along their children to draw pictures and entertain the guests.
“It was a really joyous afternoon and wonderful to see the smiles on our guests’ faces,” said Nick Hawkes, Tudor Park’s Hotel Manager. “Contact the Elderly is one of the charities we support and they do an amazing job bringing together people who are seeking companionship. I think we all made a few new friends that afternoon.”
