Giving Tuesday is the global day of giving. Last year, 332 charities took part, raising over £30 million for good causes across the world. Here's how you can get involved in the global movement, and help us end loneliness!
Give your time
With the support of our incredible pool of volunteers and the powerful tool of conversation, we are helping thousands of lonely older people make new social connections in their local communities.
We are looking to develop even more groups across the UK, so if you fancy getting involved in helping set up a new group in your local community, please visit our website.
Give a gift
Many older people experience social isolation and constant loneliness in later life. What we offer is simple, but the impact is immeasurable. A donation of just £5 can help us set up a group in your local community to make sure that every older person has the chance to break out of the devastating cycle of social isolation. Donate here or text TEAS46 £10 to 70070.
Take on a challenge event
Back in July, 81 year old Margaret decided to jump out of plane from 15,000 feet to stop her local Contact the Elderly group from closing. So how about taking inspiration from the amazing Margaret and taking on a challenge event of a lifetime? From cycle events to skydives, there’s something for everyone. Get in touch with our fundraising team to find out more.
Run a marathon
The start of a new year is an ideal time to look ahead and plan running a marathon. We have a limited number of spaces available in the Cambridge Half Marathon in March. Sign up here to receive more information on how to take part.
Is there anything better than cake? Impress your colleagues with your baking skills by hosting a bake sale in the office.
Donate when you shop
Have you started your Christmas shopping? When you shop on AmazonSmile, they will donate 0.5% of your purchase to Contact the Elderly.
Do it your own way!
