“Coming to the tea parties, seeing the people who bring you here, the people who run it and people enjoying themselves, it cheers you up. You don’t realise how good people are until you come to these things. I really enjoy it.” – George
It’s National #RememberACharityWeek this week (11th-16th September).
If you, or one of your friends or relatives have been involved with or benefitted from the work that Contact the Elderly do, a great way to show your support would be to remember us in your Will.
We rely on the kind donations from our wonderful supporters to keep our tea party groups going (and thriving!) and we are always looking to develop new groups across the UK.
By 2020 we are aiming to develop several new volunteer roles which will enable us to grow our network and reach more socially isolated older people. Your support can help get us there.
As part of our collaboration with Co-op Legal Services, through Remember A Charity, Contact the Elderly supporters can now start drafting their Will online at a discounted rate. This simple process will be followed up with a phone call from a legal expert to finalise your Will at your convenience, offering the benefits of online convenience mixed with offline support and advice.
