Remember a Charity Week
The annual ‘Remember a Charity in your Will Week’ is taking place across the UK from Monday 7 September to Sunday 13 September. It is a national campaign run by the organisation Remember a Charity to raise awareness about leaving a gift to a charity when writing a Will.
During this week we are celebrating the special gifts we receive that help us change the future for older people who spend much of their time all alone.
The theme of this year’s campaign is ‘Extreme Will Writing’, showing clips of people who are going to extreme lengths to leave a gift in their will. However, the crux of the campaign is that leaving a gift to charity in your will is legendary enough....no matter how you've done it! Take a look at some of the videos here.
If you are considering making a Will or making any changes to your Will, please take a look at this booklet which has information about why a gift will help Contact the Elderly and advice on how you can set up a legacy.
We always recommend speaking to your local qualified professional if you are considering making your Will. Remember A Charity has a network of well-known national firms, partners and sole practitioners who can assist anyone who is in the process of writing or updating their Will. You can use this postcode search to find a professional advisor in your local area. They will be able to advise you on making your Will and leaving a charitable legacy.
