CtE Supporters at the Glasgow Kiltwalk
If you are looking for a unique opportunity to fundraise for Contact the Elderly, then the upcoming Kiltwalks in Dundee (20th August) and Edinburgh (17th September) are perfect events to take part in. The Kiltwalks are 5, 13 or 26 mile walks that you can complete alone or as part of a team, making them a fun and easy way to raise money, whatever your age or sporting ability.
As an added incentive, thanks to a fundraising dinner attended by President Barack Obama, The Hunter Foundation will be topping up all funds raised by walkers by 40%. This means your money will go even further towards helping Contact the Elderly combat social isolation and bring a lifeline of friendship to older guests.
Registration is still open for the upcoming Kiltwalks. With several walkers already signed up, as well as those who have already taken part in a previous Kiltwalk having successfully raised money for Contact the Elderly, it would be great to see even more people getting involved in raising funds and awareness this time around. (Those who don't fancy a walk can also fundraise on the day by being a "Kiltie".)
If you are interested, register directly with The Kiltwalk, who will then send you a fundraising pack and notify Contact the Elderly that someone is raising funds for us.
