Wales: A Good Place to Grow Old? is a Bevan Foundation Report for Age Alliance Wales which looks at the challenges facing older people living in Wales. The report tells the story of Ruth, aged 91, who attends Contact the Elderly tea parties and the difference the outings making to her life.

Preventing loneliness and social isolation among older people was co-produced by Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE) and Contact the Elderly. The report highlights the adverse effects of feeling isolated and describes a number of services that have been found to reduce the problem, including Contact the Elderly’s tea parties.

A three year Big Lottery funded project to explore how Contact the Elderly can more effectively reach isolated older people.
