When plans to visit Bristol Zoo were rained off, the South Bristol 1 group had a wonderful last minute tea party at Ella’s home.

Ella has been a guest of the South Bristol 1 group for three years, and at the fantastic age of 101, with the help of another guest, Fred, she put on a sumptuous afternoon tea. The group enjoyed tasty coconut cake, Ella’s famous shortbread and lemon drizzle cake – all homemade by Ella in the week before the tea party!

She really is an inspiration to us all. We don’t usually expect our guests to be hosts, but this was a wonderful one off!
