Over 1 million people living in the UK are, like Bill,  socially isolated.  They have little or no contact with  either family or friends, and their numbers are rising.   In our rapidly ageing population it is predicted that 2.2 million over 65s will be isolated by 2021 .

Contact the Elderly is working to change this. Together with the help of our network of fantastic volunteers and supporters, we help isolated elderly people, by replicating, as near as possible, the hospitality they would receive if they had friends or family nearby.
