On 19th April 2015 as part of a rolling programme of high profile events and grass-roots activities, almost 10,000 Contact the Elderly volunteers and older guests will be meeting for afternoon tea to celebrate the charity’s 50th anniversary.
We are working closely with Contact the Elderly volunteers throughout the regions to raise awareness of The Big FifTEA celebrations and the charity’s ongoing aims to tackle loneliness amongst isolated older people.
If you would like to support Contact the Elderly during its Golden Jubilee year, why not host a fundraising tea party for your friends, family, neighbours or colleagues and ask your guests for a donation.
Pound for pound your return on investment with Contact the Elderly will be significant. 94 pence of every pound you invest in our work will be applied directly to benefiting isolated older people. There has never been a better way to combat loneliness in our ageing society.
