A big thank you to all of our volunteers

With Volunteers’ Week 2012 running from 1-7 June, Contact the Elderly would like to say a big thank you to all of its 5,700-plus volunteers who are helping the charity to extend its vital lifeline to isolated older people across England, Scotland and Wales.

Director Keith Arscott, said: “Our volunteers are the driving force behind the charity and without them, we wouldn’t be able to continue to deliver our service to those lonely older people most in need. Thank you for all that you do for us.”

Volunteers’ Week (1-7 June) is an annual event which celebrates the fantastic contribution that millions of volunteers make across the UK. The week plays a huge part in raising the profile of the millions of volunteers who regularly contribute to society, while inspiring others to get involved too.
